The Kansas Indoor Clean Air Act goes into effect July 1, 2010.  Smoking will be prohibited in most of the following indoor locations: public places, places of employment, restaurants, bars, and within 10 ft of any doorway, window, or air intake where smoking is prohibited.

The Westward Expansion Study is intended to analyze the development feasibility of the US 54/400 corridor between Indianola Road and the western city limits of Augusta, between 90th and 110th Streets.  The feasibility of the area will be determined through a community benefit analysis in which the cost of providing municipal services to the corridor will be examined and the benefit to the community will be understood. 

 

The feasibility of service provision will be based on a development vision that will provide a physical framework for anticipated future development.  The plan should help build a foundation for a partnership between private and public sectors, so that future investments are done in a consistent and cohesive manner.  Read the full study  Download and Review the Consultant Presentation
