In addition to offering competitive wages, the City of Augusta is one of only a few organizations still paying nearly 100% of employees' health insurance benefits. 

 

Effective 1/1/12, eligible employees are provided the following health insurance benefits:

 

 

► The City pays 100% of Delta Dental for single and family plans.

 

► The City pays 100% of Vision Care Direct for single and family plans.

 

► The City pays 100% of Prudential Life Insurance and Accidental Death.  The Basic Life Insurance is $15,000 for the employee, $5,000 for the spouse, and $1,500 for dependent children.

 

► Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are offered to assist employees in paying eligible out of pocket health care and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
