The City of Augusta is a participant in the KPERS Retirement System.  All eligible employees of the City of Augusta are entitled to receive pension benefits at your normal retirement age.  Please refer to www.kpers.org for detailed information.

 

In addition to the Pension Plan, KPERS also provides the following benefits:

 

► Life Insurance: Basic Group Life Insurance - 150% of your annual salary

 

► Optional Life Insurance: Up to $250,000 of insurance may be purchased in increments of $5,000.

 

► Disability Benefits: If you become disabled, you may be eligible for long-term disability following a 180-day waiting period.

 

► Retiree Death Benefit: Your beneficiary will receive a $4,000 lump sum death benefit.
