Santa Fe Lake
 
Located just 10 mins to the west of Augusta and 10 mins east of Wichita is Santa Fe Lake, which offers a medley of South Central Kansas' natural beauty and is characterized by natural stone shorelines, towering cottonwoods, native hardwood trees, and a variety of wildflowers, plants and grasses that encompass the lake, nature trails and the waterfalls.
 
Enjoy year round outdoor recreation including, boating, fishing, swimming, camping, picnicking, biking, hiking and much much more.  For an evening or weekend getaway, or for a week long family vacation there is plenty to do and enjoy at Santa Fe Lake. Augusta City Lake

The Augusta City Lake located in the northwest area of town is nearly 265 acres.  Citizens and visitors can enjoy fishing, picnicking, feeding ducks and geese, and sailboating; or simply sit, relax, and take in the beautiful view.  The City Lake is the place to be on the 4th of July to enjoy the fireworks display.  Augusta Lake Fishing Fees
 
Garvin Park
 
Garvin Park is the the city's largest park at 26 acres and is located just off of Washington Lane at the south end of the Augusta City Lake. It is the center of outdoor activity during the summer.  It is home to three baseball diamonds, an outdoor stage, picnic shelters, playground equipment, and park benches.
 
Pedestrian & Bike Path
 
The pedestrian & bicycle path begins in Garvin Park and stretches roughly two miles along the eastern edge of the Augusta City Lake to the north.  The path ends at Robert Shryock Park.  The path is perfect for a leisurely stroll or for serious runners, and for bicyclists or for walking your four-legged friends.  There are several benches along the way for you to rest and enjoy the view.
 
Robert Shryock Park
 
Robert Shryock Park is nearly 9 acres and is located on Ohio road next to the Augusta City Lake.  Besides a beautiful lake view, it is home to a sand volleyball court, two shelter picnic areas, a boat ramp, and Play Park Pointe.  Play Park Pointe was constructed through the work of community volunteers and local donations.  Shelter Reservation
 
Jim Brown and Bill Reed Park
 
Jim Brown Park (located on Money Avenue) and Bill Reed Park (located on north State Street) have covered shelters for picnicking and playground equipment.  The City purchased new playground equipment in late summer 2008 for Bill Reed Park.
