IV. APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
1. Consider approval of Ordinance 5 dated May 9, 2012.
V. VISITORS
1. Tony Madrigal will be in attendance to present the City with our annual dividend check from our insurance carrier Employers Mutual (EMC).
2. Representatives of the WFO Guys Car Club will be present to request use of the downtown for their annual car show on Saturday, August 4, 2012.
(Visitors may be recognized at this time to address the Governing Body regarding items not specifically listed on the Agenda – 5 minute limit)
VI. OLD BUSINESS
1. Consider approval of appointments to the Convention and Tourism Committee.
2. Consider approval of the City of Augusta’s Personnel Manual.
3. Consider approval of the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the privatization of the City’s Sanitation Utility.
VII. NEW BUSINESS
1. Conduct a Public Hearing to take input from property owners for the spread of special assessments for Belmont Place Third Addition and Stone Lake Estates, Third Phase.
A. Consider approval of an Ordinance levying special assessments on certain property for intended improvements in Belmont Place Third Addition and Stone Lake Estates, Third Phase.
2. Consider bids for the following:
A. A wheeled loader for the Public Works Department.
B. AC/Furnace for Power Plant #2.
3. Consider authorizing the submittal of a LWCF grant application to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism for playground improvements to Garvin Park.
4. Consider an amendment to the Engineering Services Agreement with Goedecke Engineering for the relocation of Dike Road.
5. Consider approval of a revision to the Kelly & Ohio Intersection Project for a drive entrance into the Dillon’s parking lot.
6. Consider authorizing the use of funds from the City’s Cost Reimbursement Account for the required local match for modifications to Corps Levee Project.
7. Consider approval of a Resolution of Support for the City of Augusta’s and USD 402’s Safe Route to Schools Grant Application.
8. Consider approval of the following Convention and Tourism Bureau Grants:
A. Grant for Downtown Augusta, Inc. for their Women’s Fair.
B. Grant for Downtown Augusta, Inc. for their Grasshopper Festival.
