A Message of Thanks from Mayor Mike Rawlings
Dear Friends and Fellow Citizens of Augusta,
Once again, I want to take this opportunity to thank all the helpers in our community that have put forth extra efforts this past year to help us all survive and beat this pandemic and its negative effects.
I want to recognize you all - including the folks at the Caring Center, our Chamber of Commerce/Go Augusta, our local merchants, our local doctors, nurses and pharmacists, our local pastors/clergy and their staffs, our Public Safety department and EMTs, our teachers and school personnel, our City employees and Council members, and our residents that have helped each other all year. Thank you all.
It has been another crazy year and for some of us a really tough one, so I encourage you all to keep your heads up and keep moving forward. I do hope you were able to enjoy this holiday season that is upon us. We will get through this season together and keep Augusta a wonderful place to live, raise a family and do business.
