Sign Up for the Augusta Municipal Airport's Youth Aviation Summer Camp!

Announcing an amazing free educational opportunity at the Augusta Municipal Airport. The Youth Aviation Summer Camp will meet at the airport from 8-11 am daily the week of 7/11/22-7/15/22. This camp will be limited to 30 openings and will offer participants an expanded view of aviation including airport operations, aviation careers, pilot and mechanic license requirements, aircraft and basic aerodynamics concepts, and will include Aviation-specific STEM demonstrations. We are working on a field trip to an air traffic control tower and an aircraft manufacture, both of which may be a challenge due to COVID-19. We are also looking for ways to fund a free flight for those that complete the camp, but that may prove too difficult, especially for this first camp.

Parents of interested students should email rseif@augustagov.org with the following information:

1. Students Name
2. Student’s grade level (either current or entering must be 8^th-12^th grade)
3. School where student is enrolled
4. Parent’s name
5. Parent’s phone number
6. Parent’s email address
7. If we can make it happen, would they be interested in a free flight in an aircraft after camp completion? (not a disqualifier if not)
8. Does the parent approve having their child’s picture posted on the airport’s social media documenting the events and activities (not a disqualifier if not)
