At the April 18, 2022 City Council meeting, Mayor Rawlings read a proclamation declaring the week of May 1-7, 2022 to be Public Service Recognition Week.  During this week, we celebrate public servants at all levels of government in all types of roles who do the difficult work that keeps our nation functioning.

Of course, we want to put an especially bright spotlight on the fantastic individuals who work for the City of Augusta. They include police officers, clerks, utility operators, managers, mechanics, dispatchers, technicians, and more!  Each of our employees uses their unique expertise and skillset to help our community function and grow.

If you know someone who works for the City of Augusta, or in any public agency, consider taking a moment this week to thank them for the important work they do!
