City Contractor to Complete Street Preservation Treatment on Haines and Grand Avenue

NOTICE:

Beginning tomorrow, May 11, 2022, City of Augusta contractor South Central Sealing & Paving will complete a slurry seal street preservation project on Haines Avenue and Grande Avenue between Ohio Street and Dearborn Street.  The affected street segments are identified in the map below with yellow lines.



On Wednesday May 11, the contractor will apply the treatment on the south side of Haines Avenue and the north side of Grand Avenue. On Thursday May 12, 2022, they will apply the treatment on the north side of Haines Avenue and the south side of Grande Avenue. On Friday, May 13, the contractor will complete any additional required work as necessary.

The City of Augusta asks that those driving in Augusta avoid these street segments if at all possible. The contractor and City Streets Division are getting in direct contact with residents of homes located along the impacted segments of Haines and Grand Avenue, including the distribution of informational door hangers.
